    ASEP is now hiring!

Before & After School Associate: Part-time Position

    Site Coordinator Trainee: Full-time Position

The After-School Enrichment Program (ASEP) provides a warm, caring environment beyond school hours where your children can play with school friends and do homework. In addition, ASEP offers exciting activities that stimulate children to be healthier and happier, including sports, art activities, and computer exploration.

ASEP operates in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, using age-appropriate materials and equipment for students. Students spend out-of-school hours in safe and stimulating environments from the media center to the playground. ASEP site coordinators, school administrators, and teachers work together to ensure the program supports learning during the school day by using the Common Core and Essential Standards curriculum.

Besides academic support, the ASEP program focuses on developing students' social skills. Program leaders are respectful and positive toward students, mindful of the importance of appropriate role models.

    Equitable Services

The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), which reauthorizes the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), requires that an LEA shall, after timely and meaningful consultation with appropriate private school officials, provide eligible private school children, on an equitable basis, services that address their academic needs. The LEA must also provide support services for the teachers and other educational staff and families of the participating children. Any questions concerning information regarding the consultation process and the provision of equitable services should contact Jennifer Tampa.
