The Arts department supports over 650 dance, music, theater, and visual arts teachers in its K-12 Visual and Performing Arts program, involving approximately 100,000 students district-wide.

It promotes empathy by encouraging sensitivity to cultural differences and diverse perspectives. Collaboration is a cornerstone of arts education, as students learn to work together harmoniously, mirroring the teamwork essential in today's workplace.
